Short Term Action items (six months to one year)

Analysis
  • Conduct a multi-venue attitudinal survey to develop a baseline understanding of visitor attitudes about Downtown and their experience. 

Implementation

  • Conduct inventory of marketing dollars spent 
  • Consider developing visitor-specific packets for targeted groups including Jurors/ Conventioneers/ Business/ Travelers/ Heritage Tourists 
  • Develop a coordinated signage plan for Downtown

Medium Term Action items (one to three years)

Implementation

  • Create “You Are Here” Maps 
  • Update 5-color Downtown signs 
  • Begin programming for events at the waterfront 
  • Begin to cross and joint market the entertainment districts 
  • Investigate the possibility of an outdoor performance space in the Theater District

Long Term Action items (three to five years)

Analysis

  • Conduct another multi-venue attitudinal survey to measure progress
